Use of the word ‘computing’

I am not happy with my use of the word ‘computing’ in the previous post, but I am not sure what would be better. It is irrelevant that the device performs computation. Maybe I could say: ‘I love being able to receive and send out information while mobile.’ This isn't very catchy…
