Apple a force to be reckoned with in portable gaming
the average price for a game on the App Store is about $3, while games for Nintendo’s platforms run an average of $20. If consumer expectations for game pricing are changed significantly by the influence of the App Store, as some analysts expect, revenue for Nintendo games could drop like a brick.
I hope the iPhone doesn't mess with the real gaming.
I don't consider the time-killing, mindless entertainment usually found in iPhone games to be in the same category as the high quality experiences that can be found on the Nintendo DS.
I continue to expect to pay £30 for an engaging DS game.
Something I might think about more at a later date: As well as quality, DS games also cost more as they are distributed physically rather than over the Internet.
